🎠The EMBODY Praxis™
Remember. Embody. Educate. Empower.

The EMBODY Praxis™ begins in the body, draws strength from Black cultural memory, and transforms trauma into tools for liberation.

EMBODY Praxis™ is an embodied framework rooted in performance, pedagogy, reflection, and critical engagement. Developed through interdisciplinary artistic practice, scholarship, and lived experience, the framework invites individuals and institutions to engage embodiment as a site of inquiry, transformation, learning, and human connection..

This innovative framework bridges performance art, racial trauma theory, and healing-centered pedagogy to spark meaningful engagement in academic, artistic, community, and corporate spaces.

Developed by scholar-artist Yao Kahlil Newkirk through the year-long durational performance Separation Anxiety, EMBODY Praxis™ is rooted in lived experience, ritual practice, and scholarly inquiry. It challenges institutions to reimagine how they engage equity, identity, embodiment, and cultural transformation—not as abstract ideals, but as ongoing
embodied commitments.

Remember. Embody. Educate. Empower.
